Charities We Support
On a local level, Rathcreedan Lodge is committed to supporting some truly magnificent charities and organisations that carry out invaluable services to people in the Banbury area – their work is truly inspiring.
Katharine House Hospice
The hospice palliative care service supports those people with life-threatening illnesses whose disease is not responsive to curative treatment. The aim is to maintain quality of life and for patients to remain in their own homes where this is possible or requested. Patients can be referred immediately after diagnosis or at a later stage in the illness. The hospice services run alongside other services and staff work closely with general practitioners and other health professionals.
The Brodey Centre
The Brodey centre originally opened in August 1998. It opened part time with one chemotherapy trained nurse and a breast care nurse. It was the inspiration of and partly funded by the family of a local business man, Ian Brodey, who had been treated for a haematological malignancy at the Horton General Hospital.
